About this event

Unlimited and City of Culture are pleased to be hosting specific information surgeries for d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists based in Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider West Midlands region.

These sessions are a chance to learn more about the Coventry Emerging Artist Awards. City of Culture are supporting 3 Coventry artist awards, available for up to £10,000 each, through the Unlimited Commissioning programme.

This is a great opportunity to find out more and ask any questions you have about applying for an Unlimited Commission award as well as speak with other artists and organisations.

We’ll be co-hosting sessions with Jo Verrent, Senior Producer from Unlimited, across three time slots on Wednesday 7 October.

Sessions

13:00-14:00 – Focusing on artists interested in developing projects that focus on Art as Activism and/or Community Collaboration. We will be joined by Ellen Booth from the Collaborative City Team and Hannah Graham from the Caring City team at City of Culture.

14:30-15:30 – Focusing on artists working across Digital and New Technologies. We will be joined by local organisation Ludic Rooms to talk about connections with Random String Festival.

16:30-17:30 – Focusing on artists working across Environment, Nature and Green Futures. We will be joined by Amanda Roberts, the City of Culture Programme Manager for our Green Futures programme.

These will be small group sessions of up to 7 people per time slot.

About Unlimited

Unlimited has been delivered by the disability-led arts organisation Shape Arts and arts-producing organisation Artsadmin since 2013, and is currently funded by Arts Council England, Arts Council of Wales, Creative Scotland and the British Council.

Since 2013, Unlimited has awarded over £4 million to over 330 ambitious disabled artists and companies, which have been seen by or engaged with more than 2.6 million people globally and online.
